Maintenance Tech - SHORT TERM

Salary: $25.00-28.00 DOE

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician for a local manufacturing company! 

 

Job Duties: 

Milling Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operational support of saw equipment, milling machines, and industrial mobile equipment including forklifts. This role ensures all assigned equipment operates safely, efficiently, and within required tolerances to support production and material handling operations.

 

Wage: $25.00-$28.00 DOE 

 

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 4:00PM

 

SKILLS REQUIRED: 

To be considered fully competent (unrestricted) in this role, the technician must demonstrate proficiency and receive sign-off in the following areas:

1. Mechanical Systems
2. Hydraulics
3. Equipment Electrical Troubleshooting (machine-level only)
4. Welding & Fabrication
5. Press Work, Pullers, and Drivers
6. Painting & Surface Preparation
7. Mobile Equipment (Forklifts)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience maintaining industrial saws, milling machines, and forklifts.
• Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, mechanical drawings, and basic electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including measurements, tolerances, and percentages.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of company processes, procedures, and quality requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work around operating machinery.
