Performs set- ups and operations of molding machines as well as maintaining and preparing molds.  This requires removing and installing heavy molds, programming of machines, and preparing molds for future use.  He/she must have the ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments accordingly.  This individuals must be team oriented, self-motivated, organized and service oriented.  He/she must be mechanically inclined and be able to read mechanical prints and tolerances.  Mold techs must be safety minded and have good leadership and reasoning skills that works well under pressure.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform and verify Set- Ups to process specifications
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing molding issues
• Schedule machine changeovers based on Kanban needs
• Support engineering with special projects and measurement needs
• Clean and prepare Molds for future use
• Communicate tooling repairs to engineering
• Rebuild Nozzles for future set-ups
Education/Experience Required
Qualified individual will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years’ experience.  However a 2 year degree is preferred.
Although this is a 2nd shift position, any candidate accepting this position will also be expected and required to work either 1st or 3rd shift when production demand or additional mold tech support is needed.
This position should not be considered to be a fulltime mold tech position, any candidate accepting this position will be expected and required to operate molding equipment or work as part of an assembly line team. Support of mold tech functions will be determined by production demand or additional mold tech needs through the manufacturing leader.

2nd Shift works 1:30pm-9:30pm
