We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various press equipment, ensuring high-quality production, and adhering to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, CNC machinery, and blueprint reading, with an emphasis on precision and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: CA$23.00-CA$25.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday
- Days: 7am - 3:15pm
- Afternoon: 3pm - 11:15pm
- Night: 11pm:7:15am
Duties
- Full Die Set Up includes clamping of dies, programming dies and sensors, loading coiler & feeding material.
- Organize, prepare, and set up raw material and equipment required for safe production of parts as per press schedules.
- Maintain communication with Quality Control and Press Shop personnel as required ensuring a quality product as per part process.
- Complete all necessary paperwork affiliated with daily production.
- Ensure that equipment fluid levels are maintained and that all safety guards are in good functioning order.
- Work with the Press Shop personnel to improve run speeds, reduce set up times, and improve efficiencies and die run success.
- Continuously improve set ups and collect information for the Continuous Improvement Program.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using common sense practice and the standards and principles of the 5S system.
- Adhere to all obligations and duties outlined in the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.

- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company tooling, processes, methods, customer and supplier information and business.
- Keep abreast of, informing management of new technologies and methods.

Skills
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Experience operating press brake machines and welding equipment.
- Strong blueprint reading skills combined with mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, basic math skills for measurements, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely within a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of machining techniques including CNC programming and manual machining operations.
- Experience with assembly processes, packaging operations, and warehouse logistics is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot PLCs and mechanical issues efficiently.
