Position Summary

The Area Owner is a key member of the warehouse operations team, responsible for maintaining operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and shift readiness within a defined area of responsibility. This position goes beyond traditional stocking duties—requiring proactive ownership, attention to detail, and accountability for area organization, product flow, and safety standards.

The individual in this role ensures materials, pallets, and supplies are properly managed, that lot integrity is maintained, and that their area operates in full readiness for subsequent shifts and weekend teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain full ownership of assigned area, ensuring product organization, lot separation, and shift readiness at all times.

  • Stock shelves with bulk-picked items in a clean, organized manner while maintaining product traceability through clear lot separation and color-coded labeling.

  • Manage and consolidate pallets of materials (proteins, gusset bags, creatine, etc.) throughout the day, ensuring efficient space use and alignment with production needs.

  • Keep all backstock, packaging, and supply areas orderly, clean, and compliant with operational standards.

  • Ensure all in-use pallets are unwrapped and ready for active picking and replenishment.

  • Maintain inventory of branded boxes and mailers, ensuring consistent availability for packing teams.

  • Support processors and material handlers in wrapping pallets, staging outbound shipments, and loading trucks as needed.

  • Perform regular housekeeping and maintenance throughout the day, including dock sweeping, waste removal, and scrubber operation.

  • Deliver employee supply orders to receiving twice weekly and support material replenishment processes.

  • Monitor picking racks for empty boxes, identify damaged pallets, and coordinate with the Bulk team for timely resolution.

  • Return residual or unused product to stock following established procedures and documentation requirements.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations; leadership or ownership experience strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to manage workload independently and uphold accountability for assigned areas.

  • Strong understanding of inventory flow, lot traceability, and material handling principles.

  • Proficient with pallet jacks, scrubbers, and standard warehouse equipment.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a high attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across shifts.

  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout the shift.

  • Ensures all warehouse safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards are consistently met.

  • Proactively identifies and resolves issues related to inventory, space utilization, or workflow interruptions.
