Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our Home Health team in McAllen, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, excellent organization, and the ability to manage financial records accurately while maintaining confidentiality in a healthcare environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process payroll and ensure accurate employee compensation records
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting
• Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and financial policies
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
• Track expenses and manage vendor payments
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial files

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
• Knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in healthcare or home health setting preferred
