Construction Project Manager – Commercial Division (Arizona Expansion)

We are a highly reputable, out-of-state commercial construction firm expanding into the Arizona market with the launch of our new Phoenix division. With a strong history of delivering large-scale commercial projects nationwide, we are building a high-performing team to support our growth in the region. We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with deep Phoenix metro experience and exceptional project management leadership.

Position Overview

The Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects throughout the Phoenix metro area. Candidates must have completed at least 2–3 large commercial projects locally, possess strong relationships with regional subcontractors, and have a solid understanding of local codes and permitting practices. This role supports the successful establishment of our new Arizona division and requires a self-driven, organized, and highly skilled project management professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and staffing needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with local subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and city officials.
• Facilitate communication between owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
• Oversee subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and cost control processes.
• Ensure compliance with Arizona building codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.
• Lead jobsite meetings, site walks, and project reporting.
• Assist division leadership in establishing processes and contributing to Arizona market growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Completed at least 2–3 large commercial projects in the Phoenix metro area (required).
• Strong understanding of the local construction market, subcontractor base, and permitting process.
• Excellent project management, scheduling, budgeting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with project management platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an out-of-state headquarters team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
