Salary: $18.00/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a flexible Shipping/Production Worker for a hospitality snack supplier located in Buffalo, NY 14214. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent benefits once hired on!

 

Payrate: $18.00/hr

Hours: Mon-Thu 9:00am-5:30pm, Fri 9:30am-3:30pm (some flexibility)

 

Production Duties:

  • Review Work Tickets and verify correct materials, labels, and expiration dates.
  • Fill containers to specified weights using calibrated scales.
  • Accurately label products and ensure proper date placement.
  • Assemble and pack cartons neatly and securely.
  • Complete preventive control checklists and follow FDA/allergen/sanitation policies.
  • Stage finished goods with proper paperwork.
  • Maintain clean and sanitized equipment and workspace.
  • Meet daily production targets set by Line Leads.

Shipping Duties:

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
  • Prepare parcel and pallet shipments (UPS, FedEx, LTL).
  • Ensure correct packaging standards.
  • Assist with shipment processing and freight coordination.
  • Monitor packaging requirements (including heat-sensitive shipments).
  • Support inventory rotation and warehouse organization.
  • Maintain clean, organized shipping and staging areas.
  • Provide backup coverage to the Shipping Coordinator as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven 1-3 years previous warehouse and shipping experience
  • Ability to operate a forklift and tow motor following safety policies
  • Competent computer skills:  Microsoft Office experience a plus
  • UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager experience a plus
  • Good time management, organized, quick thinking, high attention to detail and multi-tasking is a MUST
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 60 LBS
