We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support and maintain the electrical and instrumentation systems within our chemical manufacturing facility. This role is essential to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate is safety‑driven, highly skilled in troubleshooting, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Perform routine and non‑routine maintenance on plant electrical systems and instrumentation to keep equipment operating at peak performance.
Work on control panels, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, level, and flow devices).
Calibrate, configure, and verify sensors, controllers, and automated process equipment for accuracy and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues using engineering drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
Operate and test equipment to evaluate performance and functionality.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to improve process safety, control, and efficiency.
Procure necessary parts and supplies; assist in developing and maintaining spare parts inventory for electrical and instrumentation systems.
Document and track work orders using the plant’s CMMS software.
Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and work environment.
Follow all safety procedures, including permit‑to‑work, lockout/tagout, Arc Flash protocols, and other safe work practices.
Prioritize tasks based on safety, productivity, and business needs.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Experience navigating computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid math and computer skills.
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or trade certification in a related field preferred, but not required.
NFPA 70E certification is a plus.
