Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting contractors, builders, and remodeling professionals by providing product information, pricing, quotes, and order processing for wholesale siding and roofing materials. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate has experience in building materials, construction supply, or wholesale distribution and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Support

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and retail customers
  • Provide product knowledge and recommendations for siding, roofing, and related accessories
  • Generate and follow up on quotes in a timely manner
  • Proactively upsell and cross-sell complementary products
  • Achieve individual sales targets and support overall branch revenue goals

Order Management

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure product availability
  • Monitor order status and communicate updates to customers
  • Resolve order discrepancies, returns, and customer concerns

Product & Market Knowledge

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of siding, roofing, and exterior building materials
  • Stay informed on pricing, promotions, and vendor programs
  • Support outside sales representatives with account management and follow-up

Administrative & CRM

  • Enter and maintain customer data in CRM/ERP systems
  • Track sales activities, pipeline opportunities, and customer interactions
  • Prepare reports as requested by management

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–3 years of sales, customer service, or building materials experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and order entry/CRM systems
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience in wholesale distribution or construction supply
  • Knowledge of siding and roofing products
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
