Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
• Post payments and reconcile accounts
• Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Communicate effectively with providers, insurance companies, and patients

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of medical billing and/or coding experience preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• CPC, CCS, or related certification preferred (not required)
