Landscape Labourer
Location: Guelph, ON (local travel to job sites; must have reliable vehicle)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay: $22–$25/hour (based on experience)
Employment Type: Contract (April – December, with potential winter work for the right candidate)
About the Role:
Express Guelph is hiring on behalf of a well-established, family-owned landscaping company for a Landscape Labourer. This hands-on role involves assisting with landscaping projects while gaining experience working alongside a skilled team. This position is ideal for someone looking for seasonal work with the possibility of year-round opportunities.
Key Responsibilities / Job Duties:
- Perform general landscaping duties, including lawn maintenance, planting, weeding, and mulching.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Work with the team to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical outdoor work.
- Stand, walk, bend, and use hand tools throughout the workday.
- Follow safe and efficient work practices.
- Ensure landscaping tasks are completed to company standards.
- Maintain job sites clean and professional.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Landscaping experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and be trained.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid G driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to job sites.
