Pesticide/Fertilizer Technician

Pesticide/Fertilizer Technician Job Summary: A national chemical application company is looking for someone to join their team as a Sprayer Technician. This is all outdoor commercial, and they have opportunities to plow snow for them in the winter.

 

Pesticide/Fertilizer Technician Requirements

• Primary work is composed of pesticide and fertilizer applications during warm months
• Other job tasks include, but are not limited to: Spring Cleanups, Landscaping, Fall Leaf Cleanups, Snow Plowing and Salting
• Set up equipment, manage materials, and perform initial quality inspections. 
• Run auxiliary equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Work indoors and outside in any weather conditions. 

 

Schedule: 1st shift, 7am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday, with some OT on Saturdays

Pay: $20-$24/hr Based on experience 

 

Pesticide/Fertilizer Technician Qualifications:

• Ability to manage equipment and prolonged spraying.
• Ability to work outdoors and work long hours especially in the height of the season.
• Lift up to 60 pounds repetitively. 
• Great team player as this position requires working with a partner
• 3a – Ornamental required
• 3b – Turf required
• 6 – Industrial Weed required
• 7a – Mosquito preferred (required within 30 days)
• 7F – General pest preferred (required within 30 days)
• A current, valid Michigan Chauffeur's License
• Clean driving record
• A current DOT Medical Card (Before first day of work, applicant must either provide a current DOT card or be able to pass testing and receive one
