Auto Auction Coordinator - Vehicle Processing

Location: McAllen, TX

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $15 – $19.23/hour, depending on experience

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Auto Auction Coordinator to join our Auto Auction team. This on-site role ensures vehicles move efficiently from drop-off to sale readiness while meeting client standards, operational workflows, and system accuracy. The Coordinator works closely with inside coordination, operations, and mechanical teams to resolve issues early, route vehicles correctly, and ensure sale lanes are ready on sale day.

This position is best suited for candidates with experience in auto auction operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check in vehicles, sign off, and route to appropriate areas
• Identify and communicate problem units for early resolution
• Upload estimates and key approvals into AutoIMS
• Support account representatives by answering questions, assisting with sign-offs, and understanding lane setup preferences
• Route vehicles to the correct shops to ensure timely sale readiness
• Communicate with mechanics for additional diagnostics when needed
• Conduct lane walks to ensure vehicles meet sale-ready standards
• Ensure vehicles cross the block on sale day with minimal issues

Preferred Background & Skills:

• Prior experience at an auto auction, dealership, or vehicle remarketing
• Knowledge of vehicle basics (running vs. inoperable, keys, batteries, tires, fuel, drivability)
• Familiarity with AutoIMS or similar vehicle management systems (preferred)
• Ability to inspect vehicle condition and suggest smart repairs
• Strong organization, follow-through, and communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and directing workflow

Physical Requirements:

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequent in-and-out vehicle access
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
