Industrial Inside Sales– Baton Rouge

$20 / Hr.
Monday–Friday 6 am – 3 pm
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Industrial Inside Sales Representative for a Local Building Supply Distributor in East Baton Rouge. The primary responsibility will be for clerical duties: answering phone, fax, and email inquiries about price quotes, discounts, product availability, and order status. Must be able to interact with customers and the sales department to process orders and quotations accurately.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Inside Sales Representative:
- Assisting Customers with product selection, pricing, and availability
- Process quotes, orders, and returns accurately and efficiently
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Collaborate with outside sales, warehouse, and delivery teams
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, pricing, and promotions
- Handle phone inquiries, walk-in customers, and email requests
- troubleshoot customer issues and provide timely solutions
- support daily branch operations as needed
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous experience in Inside Sales required
- Experience in Construction/material sales is a big plus
- comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with drywall, insulation, steel framing, roofing, or similar building materials
- Knowledge of contractor and construction industry workflows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
- Must project a strong customer focus, be able to deal diplomatically with customers, and project a positive corporate image
- Good organizational skills, able to establish priorities and work to specific deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime as needed
