Location: Groton, MA

Pay: $22 - $24 per Hour

Hours: 7:30AM to 4:00PM

Full-Time, Temp to Perm

 

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the residential apartment property they are assigned to, which involves insuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general maintenance and custodial duties at the assigned properties as requested by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Basic carpentry work including hanging doors, installing cabinets and counter tops, cabinet repair, basic trim work interior or exterior.
• Assist with apartment turnovers when assigned to include repairs and improvements of vacant units and turnover cleaning.
• Dry wall repairs and installation, prep, and painting work.
• Respond to and complete service requests according to established procedures and company priorities.
• Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on facility equipment 
• Diagnose problems and make minor repairs for electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, and flooring.
• Perform general janitorial work, grounds maintenance, snow removal etc.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance, handyman experience required. Prior experience working in a residential setting is preferred.
• Must have experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills. Direct experience in unit turnovers required.
• Proficient with power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and vehicle with insurance
