CDL Class A Driver

Located in Manassas, VA

Salary: $25-$32

We have partnered with a company in Manassas a reliable and safety-conscious Class A Driver to transport materials such as conduit, hand holes, dirt, gravel, sand, or asphalt to and from construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Class A CDL trucks to include dump trucks, water truck, vac trucks, and rollbacks in a variety of environments and must be committed to maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to safety and DOT regulations. This is a direct hire long-term position

**DRIVERS are EXPECTED to help with the general laborer work**

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate trucks to complete required tasks.
• Load and unload materials as required (may involve coordination with loading equipment).
• Inspect vehicle daily for safety and maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete paperwork as required.
• Communicate with dispatch, site personnel, and supervisors regarding deliveries and routes.
• Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Perform minor truck maintenance (check oil, lights, tires, etc.) and report larger issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck interior and exterior.
• Assist crew with site-related tasks when required.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Minimum [2] years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record (MVR).
• Experience with construction or heavy equipment operations is a plus.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations and procedures.
• Must pass a drug test and DOT physical.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
