We are currently hiring an experienced Commercial Maintenance Technician to support a large, high-traffic retail property in Southlake. This is a long-term opportunity with a professional facilities management team maintaining a Class-A commercial property.

 

We are seeking a technician who can diagnose and repair systems — not just perform routine filter changes. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable interacting with tenants and property management.

 

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems (not limited to preventative maintenance)
• Perform light repairs and general maintenance throughout the retail property
• Handle plumbing repairs (toilets, faucets, leaks, minor drain issues)
• Perform basic electrical repairs (ballasts, fixtures, lighting components)
• Respond to service requests and complete digital work orders
• Communicate professionally with tenants and vendors
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failure
• Use tablets/laptops to document work and update work order systems
• Drive company vehicle to service locations on property

Required Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• Commercial maintenance or commercial facilities experience
• HVAC troubleshooting and repair ability (not entry-level filter replacement)
• General knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
• Experience using work order or CMMS systems preferred
• Comfortable using technology (iPads, laptops, mobile apps)
• Clean driving record (required for company vehicle use)
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Overtime eligibility after approximately 3 weeks
• Rotating on-call schedule every 3 weeks once trained
• $27–30/hour depending on experience
• Higher pay considered for highly experienced commercial technicians
