We are hiring Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians / Heavy Duty Mechanics for multiple high‑paying contract roles throughout Alberta. These positions include a mix of:
- ✅ FIFO rotations (camp or flights depending on site) — highest rates
- ✅ In‑town contracts across Alberta
- ✅ Oil sands assignments – field or shop
- ✅ Service company and OEM-based work
- ✅ Heavy Haul Transport Truck and Trailer Tech's
- ✅ Part‑time evening and weekend installation & repair projects (bring your own tools)

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair heavy equipment and mobile machinery
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and mechanical systems
- Complete field service calls or shop repairs depending on the assignment
- Document work completed and follow site-specific safety standards
- Assist with installation, component swaps, and project work for PT roles
Requirements
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and equipment repair experience
- Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test (mandatory for most sites)
- Own tools required for part-time installation/repair assignments
- Valid driver’s licence
- Safety certifications considered an asset (H2S, CSO/CSTS, First Aid, etc.)
Assets (Not Required for In‑Town or PT Work)
Experience with large mining equipment such as:
- CAT
- Komatsu
- John Deere
- Hitachi
- 2+ years of mining-class equipment experience is an asset but not mandatory for in‑town or part‑time jobs.
