Material Handler Weekend Shift

Express Employment is seeking Qualified Material handlers for the weekend shift Friday - Monday 

Key Responsibilities

Material handlers support production and distribution processes by moving materials, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies. Common duties include:

• Receiving, unloading, and inspecting materials from trucks or containers, and reporting discrepancies to supervisors 
• Moving materials to storage areas or production lines using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
• Maintaining accurate inventory records through regular stock counts, labeling, and database updates
• Preparing materials for shipment by pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products 
• Assisting in kitting, allocation, and managing material expiry or condition requirements 
• Operating and maintaining material-handling equipment safely, including performing pre-use inspections 
• Ensuring the work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards 
• Following procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable, including obtaining necessary certifications 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or associate degrees may be preferred
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments is advantageous 
• Knowledge of inventory systems (e.g., SAP) and supply chain management principles 
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely 
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills 
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more) and work on your feet for extended periods
