Production Operator — Chemical Manufacturing

 

Location: Rhome, TX
Schedule: 1st and 2nd Shift 
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

 

 

Job Summary
We are hiring a Production Operator to support chemical manufacturing, packaging, and processing for industrial and aerospace products. This role involves operating equipment, monitoring production, following safety procedures, and completing accurate documentation. Candidates who thrive in hands-on, fast-paced industrial environments excel in this position.


Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment, including mixing tanks, pumps, compressors, and filters.
  • Safely produce chemical products by accurately adding raw materials and following SOPs.
  • Support the safe and accurate packaging of chemical products with supervision.
  • Monitor production using gauges, control panels, and instrumentation; adjust operations as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate production logs, equipment reports, and safety documentation.
  • Assist with routine equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Work with supervisors, engineers, and team members to improve production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards, including waste disposal and emissions control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical training or related industrial education preferred.
  • Experience as a Chemical Process Operator, Production Technician, or in a manufacturing/industrial role is highly desirable.
  • Must have or obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to process issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in hot/cold environments and on elevated platforms.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to read and follow SOPs, technical manuals, and safety guidelines.
  • Basic math skills, including unit conversions and measurements.
  • Must learn and comply with applicable AS9100 Rev D Quality Management System requirements.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S is a plus.
