Location: Mount Pleasant Pay Rate: $20+ per hour (Based on Experience) Production Schedule: 3rd Shift — Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM Training Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Overtime: Available
The CNC FRP Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to machine fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) tubing and components. This role requires precision, strong attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Training will be completed on first shift prior to transitioning to third shift.
Set up and operate CNC machines to cut, drill, and machine FRP tubing
Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and specifications
Load and secure fiberglass tubing and components safely
Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
Identify, document, and report nonconforming product
Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when working with fiberglass materials
CNC machining experience preferred (FRP or composite materials a plus)
Willingness to train on first shift before moving to third shift
Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attendance and reliability
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
