This position combines assembly, metal finishing, fabrication support, quality inspection, and material handling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform assembly operations following written and verbal work instructions
• Complete various metal finishing processes including belt grinding, snag grinding, rough grinding, and finish grinding
• Buff and polish metal components using specialized compounds and finishing techniques
• Prepare parts and components for finish painting
• Inspect finished products and identify defects to achieve required surface finish specifications
• Perform deburring, spot facing, riveting, and trim panel assembly
• Complete basic sewing on webbing materials
• Assist with minor electrical assembly work
• Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and production equipment to complete precision work
• Read and comprehend blueprints, instructions, and assembly procedures
• Maintain quality standards and production requirements
• Operate forklifts as needed (training provided)
• Support fabrication and manufacturing processes across multiple departments

Qualifications

• Previous assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or production experience preferred
• Metal finishing, grinding, polishing, or deburring experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Good math, measuring, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use hand tools and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent manual dexterity and technical skills
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and established procedures
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Lift, carry, and handle production materials as needed
• Use hands continuously for assembly, grinding, polishing, and finishing tasks
• Work in a manufacturing environment around machinery and production equipment
