Construction Laborer 
Location: Lenexa, KS
Schedule: 7:00am–5:00pm (expected; may vary based on workload) | Monday–Friday/Saturday
Pay: $20/hr + overtime, paid weekly

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Construction Laborers for a temporary railroad-related project in Lenexa, KS. This is a hands-on role supporting active construction sites, ideal for someone with prior construction experience who is dependable, safety-minded, and ready to work long hours when needed. There is strong overtime potential based on project timelines and urgency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain construction sites by clearing debris, tools, and hazardous materials

• Assist with site setup, including scaffolding, barricades, and traffic control devices

• Support skilled trades by moving materials, tools, and supplies as needed

• Dig trenches, level ground, and help with demolition and cleanup

• Mix, pour, and spread construction materials such as concrete or mortar

• Operate basic tools and equipment under supervision

• Help manage traffic control and follow all jobsite safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous construction or general labor experience required

• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical work throughout the shift

• Steel-toe or composite boots required (4–6 inch high-top with defined heel)

• Willingness to work overtime and variable schedules

• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow directions
