Human Resources Generalist

Location: Montreal, QC
Employment Type: Full-time | Hybrid (10 days in office per month)
Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to partner with the Director, People & Culture in designing, leading, and implementing key HR initiatives. This role serves as a trusted advisor across the organization, supporting scalable HR processes, programs, and policies. The HR Generalist will contribute to all stages of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, mobility, wellness, and culture development. Candidates must be located in Montreal.

Responsibilities

HR Strategy

  • Partner with the Director, People & Culture to design and implement HR strategies supporting business growth and cultural alignment.
  • Leverage HR data to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR policies, frameworks, and processes.

Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage HR processes across the employee lifecycle: talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, development, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate on department-specific needs related to compensation, training, development, and mobility.
  • Support recruitment efforts to attract top talent.
  • Advise managers on employee relations, promoting constructive solutions and best practices.
  • Facilitate organizational change initiatives and promote a culture of learning and development.

Operational Excellence

  • Act as an ambassador for the employer brand and foster a culture of inclusion, engagement, and high performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on HR policies, systems, and processes.
  • Provide expert HR guidance to employees and managers, balancing business needs with employee experience.
  • Manage HR systems (HRMS) and ensure compliance, data integrity, and accurate reporting.
  • Lead training, talent development, and organizational development initiatives aligned with business priorities.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of HR experience
  • University degree in Human Resources, Industrial or Organizational Psychology
  • Knowledge of employment legislation in Quebec
  • CRHA/CRIA designation considered an asset
