Shipping & Receiving / Crate Builder – Warehouse Associate

Location: Harahan, LA

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay: $18 - $22/hr 
Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire 

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations, including building custom wooden crates for shipping, receiving incoming materials, and preparing outgoing orders. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing things the right way, and shows up ready to work.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments (UPS and freight deliveries)

• Package and box parts for outgoing shipments

• Build custom wooden crates using hand and power tools

• Prepare shipments for outbound delivery

• Load and unload materials (must be able to lift 50+ lbs)

• Operate forklifts (certification provided; prior experience is a plus)

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Use basic computer systems to track shipments and inventory

Qualifications

• Experience with shipping and receiving in a warehouse or industrial setting

• Comfortable using hand and power tools (drills, circular saws, etc.)

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift

• Basic computer proficiency

• Forklift experience preferred (we will certify if needed)

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
