Express is recruiting for a Grand Junction hunting rifle parts manufacturing company. Seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong setup capabilities and working knowledge of Haas Next Generation Control (NGC) systems. This role requires the ability to independently set up, validate, and run production and prototype jobs on a Haas VF-2 equipped with a 4th axis rotary. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient with setups, and capable of verifying program accuracy before full production runs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complete machine setups on a Haas VF-2 with 4th axis rotary
• Load and set tools, establish tool length and diameter offsets
• Set and verify work offsets (G54–G59 and additional work coordinate systems as required)
• Validate and prove out CNC programs prior to production
• Perform dry runs and single-block verification as needed
• Inspect first article parts and make necessary offset adjustments
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
• Monitor tool wear and replace tooling as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years CNC machining experience (Vertical Mill)
• Strong understanding of machine setup procedures
• Experience with Haas NGC controls
• Experience operating a Haas VF-2 or similar vertical machining center
• Experience with 4th axis rotary operations
• Proficiency with measuring tools 
• Ability to independently troubleshoot setup or machining issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience/Understanding with 3+2 positioning or basic multi-axis strategies
• CAM familiarity (Fusion 360)
• Experience machining aluminum, stainless
• Understanding of feeds, speeds, and tool selection

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
