1st shift $13 | 2nd Shift $15 room for growth within the company. Optical experience a plus 

 

Requirements
Seeking a reliable, detail-oriented team player to join our Surfacing Department as a Surfacing Inspector. This role is responsible for ensuring all lenses meet ANSI quality standards and Superior Optical commitment to producing high-quality products.
If you move from day shift to the night shift you will be eligible for the night shift differential.

Responsibilities:
•    Sort trays in order of importance, by date and/or work ticket color as they finish going through the surfacing department.
•    Inspect each lens for visible flaws and defects by using the Scratch/Dig process.
•    Learn to identify root causes of said defects and report potential machinery causes to leadership so they can be addressed.
•    Identifying and promptly communicate trends and cause of defects.
•    Complete breakage tickets for Breakage Analyst Inspection.
•    Help in other areas of the surfacing department to expedite production.
•    Monitor and clear common errors on Velocity Coaters.
•    Perform start-up duties on Velocity Coaters.
•    Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Superior Optical Housekeeping and Safety Standards.

Qualifications:
•    Minimum 6 months of employment with Superior Optical.
•    Working Knowledge of ANSI standards.
•    Experience using DVI software preferred, but not required.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to follow written SOPs and verbal instructions accurately.
•    Willingness to attend all required training sessions and meetings.

Physical Requirements:
•    Excellent eye sight and attention to detail.
•    Ability to stand for long or extended time periods.
•    Must be able to reach above or below the shoulders.
•    Lift up to 25 pounds
