Express Employment Professionals is a leading staffing company dedicated to helping people find meaningful work and helping businesses find great talent. We are currently partnering with a steel tank manufacturer in the Rosenberg area to hire Glomar Line Operators for their Texas facility.
This is an entry-level position with on-the-job training provided. Candidates will be trained in various aspects of operating a powder coating conveyor line used in the coating of steel tank parts.
The Glomar Line Operator supports the powder coating process by loading and unloading materials, assisting with surface preparation, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Load and unload materials onto the conveyor line
Verify materials using work orders
Ensure proper packaging and labeling of materials
Assemble wooden pallets using hand and power tools
Inspect finished materials for quality and defects
Sort materials by job numbers
Assist with powder coating preparation, including sanding, grinding, and cleaning
Operate overhead cranes and vacuum lifters
Perform quality control checks (holiday testing, dry film thickness, visual inspections)
Apply liquid paint for coating touch-ups as needed
Maintain and properly use all tools and equipment
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
Follow all plant safety procedures at all times
Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods
Work in noisy environments with required hearing protection
Use respiratory protection when grinding, blasting, or powder coating
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to speak and comprehend English
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Valid driver’s license preferred
Willingness to learn and take on additional duties as assigned
Starting pay: $19/hour
1st and 2nd shift opportunities available
