Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift, Plastics Production Support

Location: Tecumseh, MI 49286
Shift: 2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm
Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00/hour (Based on experience)

Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facility operations in a plastics production manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience who thrives in fast-paced industrial settings.

Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, and preventative maintenance of production and facility equipment. This role supports electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to ensure equipment reliability and uptime across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment.
• Maintain production machinery and facility systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair blow molding equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Support air compressors, chillers, dryers, and material handling systems.
• Operate powered and material handling equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Work from standard operating procedures and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industrial machine maintenance and facilities maintenance experience
• Experience supporting blow molding equipment strongly preferred.
• Experience with auxiliary systems: Air compressors, Chillers & dryers, Material handling systems, Exposure to KUKA robotics highly desirable.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience in: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Mechanical systems, Electrical/electronic systems (24V–480V).
• Motor repair and replacement experience.
• Preventative maintenance and inspection experience.
• Ability to work in extreme heat and cold (ambient plant environments).
• High school diploma or GED required.
