We have a metals company that is seeking an overhead crane operator.

 

The schedule is 7:00am-4pm.

Description:

 

Under the direction of the supervisor or his appointed lead person, operates a double hoist overhead crane to load and unload steel products.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Understands and performs all functions associated with the operation of the double hoist overhead crane.
• Performs daily inspection and reports any repairs needed to maintenance.
• Uses and understands measuring instruments…tape measure and micrometer.
• Receives and checks material for grade, thickness, and size. Color codes material per procedure.

 

Requirements:

 

• 2 years prior experience operating the overhead crane.
• Must be able to read, write, have knowledge of basic mathematics and read a tape measure.
• In-house crane certification required
• Must be able to work any shift and overtime when needed.
• Knowledge of steel is a plus but not necessary.

Pay is $21 an hour.
