Pouch Machine Operator -1st Shift #2563

Pay: $23-$26 per hour BOE
Schedule : Mondays - Fridays (8am to 4pm)

Terms: Contract to Hire

Duties:

Configures and operates pouching equipment by performing setup, start-up, and changeovers; aligns tooling to job specifications; and ensures production quality and throughput by following standard operating procedures.
Makes decisions regarding quality and performance standards by performing multiple quality checks and tests to ensure all products meet physical and visual requirements.
Monitors production throughout the run, making adjustments to reduce waste and improve productivity, while recommending strategies for efficient use of materials, equipment, and scheduling.
Problem solves issues that arise
Effectively work as a team member to meet production and company goals

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree
2 years of related manufacturing or print converting experience, including handling web printing materials (continuous rolls), and/or equivalent training or education
Proficient computer skills with the ability and desire to learn new systems and processes.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and operate complex production equipment efficiently
Detail-oriented with fine attention to detail.
Problem-solver with the ability to make independent decisions.

Required to communicate frequently and effectively with coworkers, other departments, various levels of management, and suppliers to ensure company continues to reduce total cost, while increasing customer satisfaction.
