Dog Kennel Assistant
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Weatherford, TX
About the Position
We are looking for a reliable, animal-loving Dog Kennel Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work with dogs, can multitask in a busy environment, and is comfortable interacting with pet owners both in person and over the phone.
This position focuses on dog care, cleanliness, customer service, and basic computer tasks—all essential for keeping the kennel running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
You will help with the daily care and comfort of dogs in the facility, including:
Dog Care & Kennel Support
- Washing and bathing dogs
- Feeding dogs on schedule and maintaining clean water bowls
- Walking dogs and monitoring behavior
- Keeping kennel areas clean, sanitized, and safe
Customer Service & Front Desk
- Answering phones professionally
- Checking dogs in and out of the facility
- Interacting with owners and maintaining excellent customer service
Basic Computer Tasks
- Light computer use for scheduling, notes, and simple updates
Requirements
- Must love working with dogs
- Ability to lift, bend, and be on your feet throughout the day
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes
- Reliable attendance Monday through Friday, 8–5
- Basic computer skills for simple office tasks
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
