Building Maintenance Technician

$18.00-$22.00 

Express Employment Professionals is looking for a versatile and proactive Building Maintenance Technician to keep a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in peak condition. This is a "hands-on" role that requires a mix of mechanical skill, facility care, and the ability to jump in whenever a repair is needed. Key Responsibilities

• General Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, lighting, and basic carpentry.

• Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled inspections of facility equipment and building systems to identify and fix issues before they become major problems.

• Facility Upkeep: Assist with painting, drywall repair, and floor maintenance to ensure a clean, professional environment that meets pharmaceutical standards.

• Equipment Support: Work alongside production teams to assist with basic machinery setup or facility-related mechanical fixes.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure all walkways, emergency exits, and work areas are safe and clear; follow all OSHA and internal safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Handyman Skills: Proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Problem Solving: Ability to look at a broken fixture or leak and determine the most efficient way to fix it.

• Physical Ability: Comfortable climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and performing heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).

• Reliability: Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and manage a daily "to-do" list of repairs.

• Experience: 1–2 years of general maintenance experience is preferred.
