Torch Operator

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Metal Cutter / Torch Operator with hands-on experience using oxygen and propane cutting equipment. This role is responsible for cutting, shaping, and preparing metal materials according to specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate oxygen and propane cutting torches to cut, trim, and shape metal materials
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, measurements, and job specifications
• Measure and mark materials to ensure accurate cuts
• Inspect finished cuts for quality and accuracy
• Maintain and safely operate cutting equipment and tools
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of gases and PPE usage
• Assist with material handling, setup, and cleanup as needed
• Work collaboratively with fabrication, welding, or production teams

Schedule & Pay:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday (overtime may be available)
• Pay rate based on experience and skill level

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a metal cutter or torch operator
• Hands-on experience using oxygen and propane cutting equipment
• Basic knowledge of metal types and cutting techniques
• Ability to read measurements and use basic hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
