Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Saw Operator / Cutting Room Operator for a manufacturing facility located in Greensboro, NC. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity for someone experienced working with fabric cutting equipment in a production or sewing environment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hardworking individual who is comfortable operating cutting machines, working with CAD layouts, and performing physical tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

As a Saw Operator / Cutting Room Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Operating cutting machines such as the Lectra Cutting Table and Spreading Table.
Cutting fabric to pattern specifications for use in sewing and production departments.
Reviewing layout markers or CAD files to ensure proper layout and identify errors.
Manually marking tables for splice points as needed.
Checking markers in the spreader to ensure accuracy before cutting.
Ensuring all production information is correct prior to cutting.
Manually cutting fabric when required.
Stacking cut parts onto carts and transporting them to the appropriate departments.
Moving carts and materials safely throughout the facility.
Using hand tools such as tweezers, scissors, hand cutters, and seam rippers.
Maintaining attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy.
Keeping the cutting area clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements

Prior experience working in a cutting room or fabric production environment preferred.
Comfort operating cutting machines and computer-based systems.
Ability to read and understand CAD layouts or cutting markers.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs as needed.
Strong work ethic and “go-getter” attitude.
Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Reliable attendance and consistent work history preferred.

Skills & Qualifications

Fabric cutting and production experience.
Effective use of hand tools in a manufacturing environment.
Basic computer skills for reviewing layouts and production data.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Safety-conscious in a production setting.

Shifts & Hours

1st Shift, Full-Time
Monday – Friday

Location: Greensboro, NC

Pay & Benefits

$15.00 per hour (set pay rate).
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
