Location: Albuquerque, NM

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Shop Assistant to join a local metals company.

Job Description:

• Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.

• Bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer’s orders.

• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.

• Operate a spray gun in the application of epoxy touch up or reinforcing steel bars

• Operate overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped and more......

Requirements:

• Must be able to read a tape measure

• Must be able to perform basic math for accurate bar measurements

• Must be able to pass a drug screen.

• Must be able to read and comprehend basic safety and operational instructions

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.

• Comfortable standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and moving as required.
