A local farm equipment manufacturing company is seeking a dependable Metal Shop Worker to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and interested in developing their skills in fabrication and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on metal components
• Operate saws and other shop equipment to cut metal parts
• Read and use a tape measure accurately
• Assemble parts and components according to specifications
• Assist with general fabrication and shop duties
• Handle and move materials throughout the facility
• Maintain quality standards and attention to detail in all work
• Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Previous MIG welding experience required
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Experience operating metal-cutting saws or similar equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction

Preferred Qualifications

• Agricultural or farm equipment experience
• Trade school or vocational training in welding, fabrication, or a related field
• Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience
