Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment, machinery, and building systems. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment while minimizing downtime and supporting overall operational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues and complete timely repairs
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Complete work orders accurately and document repairs, parts used, and labor
• Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery safely
• Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and upgrades
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors when necessary
• Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of maintenance supplies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2–5 years of maintenance or industrial/mechanical experience preferred
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic HVAC
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills for work order systems and reporting
• Valid driver’s license (if required for the role)
