Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Downstream Technician to support manufacturing and packaging operations. In this role, you will operate downstream and box maker equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality packaging of finished products. You will work closely with Group Leaders, Shift Leaders, Production, and Quality teams in a fast-paced production environment.

This position is ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, or a strong interest in equipment operation and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate automated downstream equipment including case packers, box makers, conveyors, and labeling systems
• Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and basic maintenance on equipment
• Follow product orders, material requirements, and customer specifications
• Conduct quality checks to ensure packaging, labeling, and transitions meet standards
• Document production data, scrap, and corrugate losses
• Support department goals related to safety, quality, reliability, and scrap reduction
• Complete required production reports and documentation accurately and on time
• Follow all BOS, SAP, GMP, and safety policies
• Maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation standards
• Attend required training sessions and team meetings
• Communicate effectively with Production, Quality, and Leadership teams
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, or mechanical experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and reliability
