Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

The Equipment Builder is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing components used in water treatment systems and other industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read and follow technical drawings. Metal fabrication and basic welding skills are highly valuable in this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble water treatment equipment and related mechanical systems according to blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.

• Use hand tools and basic power tools to fit, fasten, and secure components.

• Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting metal parts.

• Assist with welding and fabrication work as needed to support equipment builds.

• Inspect components and assemblies to ensure proper alignment, fit, and functionality.

• Install piping, brackets, frames, and structural supports as required.

• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and follow all safety procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to complete builds efficiently and meet production deadlines.

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and basic power tools.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.

• Metal fabrication skills, including cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting.

• Basic welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick) is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to lift and move materials as needed.

• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
