Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

The Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components to build or repair equipment, structures, and custom parts. This role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. The fabricator will also assist in assembling water treatment equipment and performing general metal fabrication tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal components, forms, and structures according to blueprints, diagrams, and technical sketches.

• Assemble water treatment equipment using mechanical skills, hand tools, and basic power tools.

• Reconstruct or repair damaged metal parts made from various metals and alloys.

• Perform welding operations using processes such as MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW, and other gas-shielded methods is a plus.

• Cut, grind, and shape metal using torches, saws, grinders, and other fabrication tools.

• Set up, adjust, and regulate welding and fabrication equipment based on project requirements.

• Use fixtures, jigs, clamps, and precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality.

• Inspect finished work to ensure proper fit, structural integrity, and compliance with specifications.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and basic power tools.

• Strong metal fabrication skills, including cutting, grinding, forming, and fitting metal components.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.

• Proficiency with welding processes is a plus (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, etc.).

• Experience using fabrication tools such as torches, grinders, saws, and drill presses.

• Ability to lift, move, and position materials as needed.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
