About the Role:

The Cashier & Retail Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service to customers while processing transactions accurately. This role supports daily store operations, maintains a clean and organized environment, and ensures a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Cashier Duties

  • Process customer purchases using POS systems (cash, debit, credit)

  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies

  • Balance cash drawer and ensure accuracy in transactions

  • Issue receipts, gift cards, and store credits

  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area

Customer Service Duties:

  • Greet customers and provide assistance with product inquiries

  • Offer recommendations and guide customers to products

  • Resolve customer concerns or escalate to management when needed

  • Maintain knowledge of store promotions, sales, and policies

  • Ensure a positive and welcoming shopping environment

Store Support:

  • Stock shelves, replenish merchandise, and maintain product displays

  • Assist with inventory counts and receiving shipments

  • Keep store clean, organized, and safe (floors, shelves, fitting rooms, etc.)

  • Follow all company procedures, including loss prevention and safety guidelines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic math skills and comfort using POS systems

  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

  • Reliable, punctual, and customer‑focused

  • Ability to lift light weight and stand for extended periods
