Safety & Security Coordinator

McAllen, TX

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

$13-$14 /hour

The Safety & Safety Coordinator monitors workplace activities to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable safety and security  regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Assists in conducting employee training on applicable safety and security standards.
• Conducts safety and security inspections though out all facilities.
• Audits to assess employee compliance with safety and security regulations.
• Assists in the investigation of accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility.
• Act as a liaison between management and external safety and security agencies such as security alarm provider, camera provider and any vendor in relations to safety and security.
• Comply with guidelines and activities related to the QMS (ISO 9001) and the CTPAT program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience/Education:

• Communicates effectively, Builds Effective Teams, Drives Results, Interpersonal Savvy, Plans & Aligns, Customer Focus.
• High School Diploma or GED minimum and/or one year of HR related experience. 
• Forklift Experience required.
