Job Title: HR Coordinator


Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator supports and facilitates human resource processes across all business locations. This role provides administrative and operational support to the HR function, including record keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS data entry.

This position is responsible for participating in, supporting, and maintaining compliance with company quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.

The HR Coordinator regularly communicates directly with employees, management, and external partners as needed.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize HR and payroll systems to maintain accurate employee records and process HR transactions efficiently.

  • Assist with the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations; ensure accurate record keeping and audit payroll deductions.

  • Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment matters in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist in resolving employee concerns and workplace issues while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and HR programs and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

  • Coordinate and manage employee separations, including processing terminations, conducting exit interviews, and ensuring the return of company property.

  • Ensure termination and offboarding procedures comply with applicable laws and company policies.

  • Support performance management processes, including documentation and tracking.

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, initial interviews, and coordination with hiring managers.

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including employment paperwork, orientation, and benefits enrollment.

  • Monitor and process unemployment claims and leaves of absence, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Perform clerical and administrative duties such as copying, scanning, mailing, and electronic filing.

  • Own and manage the attendance and points tracking process, escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping administration as needed.

  • Maintain employee records with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection requirements.

  • Communicate HR policies, procedures, employment laws, and regulatory requirements to employees and management.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Schedule

  • 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexibility as needed

  • During training, one day per week in Stockton

  • Once fully trained, two days per week in Stockton and three days per week in Escalon


Employment Details

  • Pay rate: $27–$29 per hour

  • Six-month temporary assignment with intent to convert to a permanent role

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required.

  • Minimum of two years of related HR experience required.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.

  • Valid California driver’s license with ability to travel to multiple locations as required.

Working Environment

This position operates primarily in an indoor office environment, sometimes in close proximity to others. The noise level is typically moderate.
