Customer Service Representative

Pay Rate: $19–$22 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

Location:  Tampa FL 33607

 

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer support, assisting customers with product orders, and ensuring accurate order processing. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of calls and emails. The position also includes entry-level payment processing responsibilities and occasional travel for trade shows.

 

Essential Functions

Customer Service Support

  • Assist customers in placing orders for company products

  • Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and patience

  • Recommend appropriate products based on customer needs

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls and emails daily

  • Collaborate and share workload within the customer service team

  • Perform order entry, order fulfillment, and order confirmation

  • Demonstrate attentiveness, positivity, and strong problem-solving skills

  • Utilize analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Maintain strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills

  • Travel to trade shows as needed

Entry-Level Order & Payment Processing

  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company information

  • Enter data into accounting systems and maintain accurate records

  • Participate in training and educational opportunities as offered

  • Gather, sort, and prepare documents for processing

  • Verify transaction information, compute charges and refunds, prepare invoices, and process credit card payments

  • Identify delinquent accounts and insufficient payments

  • Contribute to team goals and assist with additional tasks as assigned

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and data entry skills

  • General math proficiency

  • Experience with QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software

  • Ability to analyze information and maintain thorough, accurate records

  • Strong administrative writing and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with PC operations and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Dependability, productivity, and strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professionalism in all interactions

 

Job / Competency Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar software

  • Familiarity with MISys-MRP or other inventory management systems preferred

  • Visual acuity sufficient to perform essential job functions
