Looming Operator

Salary: $19.00-$19.75

1st & 2nd Shift Looming-Multi-Skilled position 

The Looming-Multiskilled Operator is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of industrial-grade woven wire and slot wire screens. This role requires the ability to move between different stations.

Schedule:

1st Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm $19

Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM, $19.75 an hour

Responsibilities:

Fabrication & Assembly: Set up and operate machinery to weave or assemble wire cloth according to "traveler" specifications and blueprints.

Finishing Operations: Perform secondary processes such as "shearing" (cutting wire to size), "hooking" (forming the edges for installation), and "flashing" (removing excess material).

Quality Inspection: Use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify that wire diameters and mesh openings (ranging from very fine to 6-inch openings) meet strict industrial tolerances.

Machine Setup: Adjust loom settings, tensioners, and crimping machines based on the specific wire gauge (high-carbon, stainless, or oil-tempered steel).

Qualifications:

• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in utilizing measuring tools with precision.
• Ability to safely operate machinery.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• High School Diploma
• 1 year of recent related work experience preferred
