Job Title: Inventory Clerk / Inventory Specialist

Location: Palmview / Penitas Area

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • One to two Saturdays per month, based on workload

Pay:

  • Starting at $16.00 per hour
  • Higher pay may be considered for candidates with extensive experience in a similar role

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs often, this role involves moving materials around the office/warehouse space as well as administrative tasks.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Clerk / Inventory Specialist is responsible for accurately tracking, auditing, and maintaining inventory records to support daily operations. This role combines heavy lifting, inventory and administrative and data entry responsibilities. The position involves working both outdoors in the yard performing inventory counts and indoors in the office handling reporting, ERP data entry, and communication with internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Track, record, and audit inventory through daily and/or weekly mini-audits of assigned sections.
  • Help lift up to 50 lbs of materials, boxes, items and products as needed daily.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Investigate inventory variances caused by human error, process issues, damage, or potential theft.
  • Track product movement, quantities, and stock levels.
  • Assist with the returns process by verifying item condition and status before returning items to inventory.
  • Create, update, and maintain inventory reports on a regular basis.
  • Report low stock levels to the Purchasing department.
  • Assist in analyzing trends related to lost, damaged, or frequently adjusted inventory.
  • Assist in planning and implementing inventory organization, including layout planning, labeling of areas, and stock rotation.
  • Ensure inventory is stored and rotated properly to support timely usage.
  • Provide backup support in the warehouse as needed.
  • Communicate inventory updates and needs with internal teams in person and via email.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and route them appropriately.
  • Assist with other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, data entry, or clerical work preferred.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills (Excel or similar systems preferred).
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working both outdoors (yard inventory counts) and indoors (office/computer work).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
