Job Summary

A high-end, independent jewelry store is seeking a meticulous and trustworthy Inventory Clerk to manage and track fine jewelry inventory. This role is critical to maintaining accurate records, safeguarding valuable merchandise, and supporting a seamless in-store experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, discreet, and comfortable working with luxury items in a refined environment. This position requires a credit check as part of the hiring process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, log, and track all jewelry inventory including finished pieces, repairs, and special orders
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and accountability
  • Prepare jewelry for display, transfer, repair, or customer pickup
  • Coordinate with sales staff and jewelers regarding inventory movement
  • Verify documentation for incoming and outgoing merchandise
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of all high-value items
  • Assist with special inventory projects and reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior inventory, stock, or clerical experience preferred
  • Experience in a jewelry or luxury retail environment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity and discretion
  • Comfortable working with small, high-value items
  • Basic computer skills; experience with POS or inventory systems preferred
  • Must pass a credit check
