Salary: $45,000-$60,000

Job Mandates:

• Stay current in knowledge of insurance coverages, endorsements, and limitations
• Develop strong understanding of clients’ exposures
• Educate clients to their exposures and recommended coverages
• Adhere to established service guidelines for renewal
• Visit with customers, carriers, underwriters when requested or needed
• Proactively contact clients as needed, including Rate Review Guarantee Procedure
• Achieve and adhere to response guidelines in respect to customer, carrier, Management,  vendor, and government agency communication
• Assist co-workers in same and other departments in support of reaching company’s customer service goals
• Cross/up sell for additional business and assist with prospects
• Review renewal list with Managers to maximize client retention, with particular attn. to nonstandard accounts
• Enter all required info in Agency Management System
• Rate and review policies with various carriers when needed
• Directly contact clients and prospects for new business appointments when needed
• Perform other functions as requested by Management

Authority:

• The right to question the ethics and legality of requests
• To make coverage and placement decisions based on agency’s objectives
• Binding Authority-not to exceed agency authorization
• To develop business relations and negotiations with carrier underwriting
• To waive or process agency advances within agency guidelines

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and staff
• Maintain a low complaint profile when dealing with clients, carriers, and staff
• Speak to clients and guests in a courteous and friendly manner at all times.
• Meet or exceed attendance, activity, sales, communication, service metrics, and annual goals
• Additional participation in agency “Focus Groups” and/or providing recommendations for agency improvements

Job Requirements:

• Satisfactory experience in insurance industry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must obtain and maintain producer license in an  agreed time-frame
• Must stay current regarding trends, ethics, and education related to the insurance industry
• Maintain acceptable attendance
