Job Description: Kitchen Crew Member (Quick-Service / Cafeteria Kitchen)

Position Title: Kitchen Crew Member
Department: Food & Beverage (Kitchen)
Location: Ski resort located approximately 30 miles from Helena, MT
Job Type: Seasonal (Winter) — potential for extension / year-round opportunity

Pay: $15/hr plus tips, averages $18-21/hr. AND the perks and meals and passes, see below! 

Position Summary

A local ski resort is hiring Kitchen Crew Members for a high-energy, quick-service cafeteria-style kitchen serving skiers and snowboarders. This position is a team-based role where staff rotate through multiple stations to keep service moving during peak ski-day rushes.

Key Responsibilities

• Rotate between kitchen stations as needed, including:
  • Grill / fryer cooking
  • Food prep and assembly
  • Order window / expediting
  • Register / POS transactions
  • Stocking and restocking supplies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and service area
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Support teammates during high-volume service periods
• Communicate clearly and stay flexible during fast-paced shifts

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset
• Ability to work quickly and stay organized during busy times
• Willingness to rotate between positions and help wherever needed
• Dependable and punctual
• Customer service skills a plus
• Kitchen experience helpful but not required (training provided)

Physical / Work Requirements

• Standing for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (supplies, product, etc.)
• Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment and move quickly between stations

Schedule / Availability

• Weekend availability required (peak days are Saturdays/Sundays)
• Shifts typically align with ski area operating hours
• Holiday availability is a plus (high-volume days)
